The People's Platform is non-partisan. It's not about politicians, political parties or ideologies.

The People's Platform is us.

It is the lives we live and what we all need to make life better.

This is how it works.

You complete your own TWiST (The Way I See It)) .

What you write goes into ACP's database which stores everyone's comments and ideas. The database combines all our TWiSTs and identifies the changes we most want and our ideas for achieving them.

Our top changes and ideas become The People's Platform - our plan for making things better.

The People's Platform tells political candidates, public leaders and policy makers how we want our communities, nation and the world. And how to make change happen that leads to our mutual well-being.

Once we have a Platform we can use ACP to hold Elections (The People's Election) online and in our communities so people can vote for our Platform. When we vote for the Platform we make it a mandate. When lots of us vote for it we make it a public mandate for leaders to address.

Once it's a mandate, we have a tool to hold leaders accountable for their part in causing change.

After the People's Election, ACP's Reality Check gives us the ability to monitor whether change is actually happening. We can use it to report the impact public policies and government actions are having on our lives and well-being.

Reality Check lets us hold leaders accountable now. We don't have to wait for the next election or a public referendum. We can use it to shape what gets done while they're in office and in a position to do their best on our behalf.
